Participation Overview
Participation in Hillsdale athletics is a privilege. Student-athletes are expected to uphold positive standards on and off the field, representing their team, school, and community with pride.
Approved Sports – Grades 7 & 8
Fall: Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Cheer
Winter: Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Wrestling, Cheer
Spring: Track & Field

Scholastic Eligibility
To be eligible:
-
Students in Grades 7/8 must pass 4 classes
-
Incoming 7th graders are exempt for fall
-
Eligibility is reviewed every 9 weeks
Training Rules
Expectations apply year-round:
- during season
- offseason
- in uniform
- out of school
Disciplinary consequences may include removal for conduct violations.
Transportation

Students must ride the team bus/van to events
-
May return with a parent/guardian if permitted by the coach and a note is provided
Attendance
-
Students must be present in school to participate in practice or games
Out-of-Season Rules
-
Set by OHSAA, including designated no-contact periods
Uniforms
-
Issued and collected by coaches
-
Should only be worn on game days or during school hours

Supports athletics through meetings, fundraising, and volunteering.
